SmInd – Sector Model Industry

In the Sector Model Industry (SmInd), greenhouse gas reduction paths can be calculated at sector, industry, process, and measure level. Evaluation parameters are mainly load profiles, costs, emissions, energy, and production quantities. 22 Industrial processes are mapped bottom-up via production quantities and specific consumption. A choice can be made between four types of measures (including approx. 100 individual measures). Results can be reported at least annually between 2015 and 2050 and differentiated by 14 industrial sectors, 22 processes and/or nine energy sources. The underlying data for cross-sectional technologies and load profiles were derived from actual data of about 200 energy audits. The modular structure enables successive expansion of the model.
