- What is an energy system forecast? The energy system model in which the forecast is carried out is based on the sector models for industry, transport, households and retail, commerce and services on the consumption side, and the modeling of energy generation (e.g. via detailed PV and wind models) on the toher side. These are used to simulate the energy market and calculate prices. The energy system model uses additional parameters for this, such as fuel prices, imports, expansion figures and grid expansion. We update these parameters on an ongoing basis.
