Energy audits
With energy audits in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1, we help companies identify inefficient energy consumption and implement targeted measures to reduce costs and improve efficiency. These audits also provide valuable insights to meet legal requirements and promote sustainable business practices. Since 2015, companies that are not classified as SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) have been required to conduct an energy audit every four years, unless they have implemented an energy managemenWith the amendment to the Energy Services Act, this obligation will no longer be based on SME status but on the average total final energy consumption over the last three years. Companies with an estimated annual consumption of more than 2.77 GWh will be required to conduct an energy audit in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1, unless they operate a certified energy or environmental management system in accordance with ISO 50001 or EMAS.

Our offer
Since the first audit phase in 2015, FfE has conducted energy audits in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 for numerous companies across a variety of sectors. All relevant data and documents are gathered and reviewed in advance. During an on-site visit, all energy-relevant systems and processes are thoroughly discussed, with theory being applied to practice during the site inspection.
Efficiency potential and optimization opportunities are identified and discussed in collaboration with the company. Based on the findings from the on-site visit and relevant documents, an energy source breakdown is created by application area. Efficiency measures are then quantified in terms of their energy, environmental, and economic savings potential, depending on the available data. Finally, an energy audit report is prepared, containing all pertinent information. This report not only fulfills legal requirements but also serves as a structured working document for the company to implement prioritized efficiency measures.
