The progressive integration of electric vehicles results in a closer link between the energy and automotive industry. Electric vehicles will be charged intelligently in the future so that they can be integrated into the energy system in a grid- and system-friendly manner and generate revenues by participating in the electricity markets.

Together with Volkswagen Group Innovation, FfE developed a comprehensive market analysis with a focus on bidirectional charging. The aim was to determine the market potential for bidirectional charging in Europe. The study builds on use cases which were already considered in a preceding project.
