Innovative companies and organizations can apply for the Bavarian Energy Award 2022 until April 1, 2022. “The energy transition thrives on the wealth of ideas and commitment of many players. In Bavaria in particular, clever minds are developing many exciting energy solutions that deserve an award. We look forward to honoring innovative energy projects and cutting-edge technology with the Bavarian Energy Award again in 2022. I invite companies, engineering and architectural firms, scientific institutes as well as cities, districts and municipalities to submit their projects. A total of € 30,000 in prize money is being offered!
The Bavarian Energy Award honors exemplary energy projects that point the way to climate-friendly energy production and use. In 2022, the focus is on innovative energy solutions from the areas of sector coupling and digitalization and taking into account energy system efficiency. “The large number of very good applications each year makes it clear: Bavaria is already the state for intelligent energy technology,” explains the State Minister.
The Bavarian Energy Award has been presented every two years since 1999. In 2022, it consists of a main prize (cross-category) and one prize in each of the five categories:
• Energy distribution incl. grid services – heat, electricity, gas etc. as well as storage technologies,
• Energy generation – electricity, heat,
• System-compatible sector coupling – electricity, heat, mobility,
• Energy efficiency in industrial processes and production as well as energy efficiency networks,
• Buildings as energy systems/building concept.
A total of 30,000 euros in prize money is being offered, of which the main prize winner will receive 10,000 euros.
In its capacity as the body authorized to make proposals, the FfE will review the applications submitted online and forward them to the jury.
