Industrial Plants and Processes

Various investigations have shown, that especially in the industry sector there is still a considerable potential for saving energy.

In this sector, excessive energy consumption is often caused by wrong dimensioning of plants, a lack of specialized knowledge of the staff, unspecified responsibilities or just by a lack of time.

But the inefficient use of energy causes high costs, especially in times of increasing prices for energy carriers and emission licenses. This can strongly affect even single plants. Thereby, a major part of the potential for saving energy could be realized without any additional costs or just with a short payback period.

Possible services of the Research Center for Energy Economics (FfE):

  • Development of concepts to decrease energy consumption and CO2-emissions

  • Analyses of technologies related to energy application and energy conversion

  • Product-specific analyses regarding energy consumption in running and idle status

The Research Center for Energy Economics (FfE) has a large range of measurement equipment available, which allows recording of energetic and consumption data, as well as the most important emissions associated to energy.
